Sukhbaatar district and Saku city marking 10th anniversary of cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar city and Saku city in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture are marking the 10th anniversary of their cooperation these days.
Since the signing of the cooperation agreement on August 4, 2008, the sides have been cooperating in educational, cultural, economic and other sectors and civil servants of the two sides have exchanged their experiences.
In scope of the 10th anniversary, officials from Saku city administration including city council chairman Takahashi Yoshi and Governor Seiji Yanagida, are paying a visit. The guests were welcomed by Governor of Sukhbaatar district Kh.Bolormaa, Chairman of the Citizens' Representative Khural of the district E.Ganbat as well as district administration staff, and held a meeting to discuss implementation of joint projects and programs during the decade.
The sides highlighted the successful implementation of Child exchange program under bilateral cooperation which has involved 160 children to make mutual visits and get acquainted with history, culture, customs and lifestyles of Mongolia and Japan. Children from Saku city who are visiting Mongolia have attended the celebration events.
