Taekwondo team brings 9 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 2018 Pohang World University Taekwondo Championship was held from July 10 to July 15 in Pohang city, the Republic of Korea and a national team of the Mongolian Taekwondo Federation comprised of 20 athletes won 9 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals in total. 

Specifically, B.Gandorj from the Mongolian National University won a gold medal in 54kg weight of A-2 event and T.Biligsaikhan claimed a silver in 54kg weight of A-2 event while M.Tumenbayar from the Mongolian National Institute of Physical Education captured a gold in 63kg weight of A-1 division, O.Munkhzolboo a gold in 63kg weight of A-2 division, B.Oyuntulkhuur from the National University of Mongolia a gold medal in -46kg weight of A-2 category, P.Duurenjargal a silver in 54kg weight of A-1 category, Ts.Bat-Erdene a silver in 54kg weight in A-2 category, Z.Namuundari from the Mongolian State University of Education a silver in -53kg weight of A-2 event, S.Urjinjav from the National Technical University a bronze in 63 kg weight of A-2 division as well as B.Tserendulam from Etugen University a bronze in -53kg weight of A-2 division.  

With team score men’s team won the first place while the women’s team the third place. Also B.Natsagdorj became the best male athlete and In Yong, coach of Mongolian national team was selected as the best coach of the Championship.
