Sides share views on Mongolia-Monaco’s cooperation in education, culture and science

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Ganbayar met with Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Municipality of Monaco Isabelle Rosabrunetto, sharing opinions on cooperation in scientific sector and implementation of joint projects and programs.  
 
At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Isabelle Rosabrunetto said amount of Monaco’s development assistance to 12 countries is expected to reach EUR 54 million in types of technical assistance and cash funding.  
 
Deputy Minister G.Ganbayar expressed gratitude to the Government of Monaco on rendering development assistance to Mongolia and said many projects being funded by Monaco’s development assistance in conservation of cultural heritage, archaeology, health, education and encouragement of social participation show the friendly level development of bilateral cooperation. Mentioning the Ministry has planned to establish a Science Museum for children and youths and the National Archaeology Museum of Mongolia and its research center, the Deputy Minister requested the Government of Monaco to render support on these projects.  
 
Furthermore, Mongolia has intention to join the 1995 UNIDROIT Convention on Stolen or Illegally Exported Cultural Objects within 2018 and he expressed interest to continue a project to fight with illegal trade and export of cultural objects in frame of expanding cooperation in arts and cultural sector.
