President Kh.Battulga meets his Belarusian counterpart A.G.Lukashenko

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 9, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga arrived in Qingdao, China to attend the Plenary Session of the 18th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The President of Mongolia was welcomed at the airport by Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Assistant Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. D.Gankhuyag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to PRC, and Mr. Xing Haiming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of PRC to Mongolia.
In the afternoon, President Battulga held a bilateral meeting with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander G.Lukashenko.
Beginning the meeting, President Battulga expressed interest in building cooperation in all potential areas with Belarus, while underlining that Mongolia is sandwiched between the two great powers of the world and has small population.
Mr. Lukashenko also expressed interest in expanding cooperation not only in economy, but also in sports, noting that Belarusian athletes wish to learn from the “Mongolian spirit”.
The heads of state further discussed the potentials of strengthening economic ties and possibilities of realizing tangible cooperation in agricultural sphere.
