PM meets Russian Minister of Trade and Industry

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh today received Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Valentinovich Manturov.   
 
PM expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of bilateral ties and cooperation in political, social, economic, trade and cultural spheres while highlighting constant high-level visits and strengthened business relationships. "Clear indication of it is that trade turnover between the two countries rose by 37 percent in 2017 compared to 2016," PM said.
 
The PM expressed his confidence that a series of events ‘Mongolia Russia Initiatives 2018’ running in Ulaanbaatar will give stimulus to bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in development of trade and economic sector and he underlined the importance of ‘Intergovernmental Agreement on Terms of Railway Transit Transportation’ which was agreed by the sides to sign during the event.  
 
Mongolia has willingness to diversify its export products to the Russian Federation. Therefore, PM made a request to cooperate with Russian part on a project ‘Wool’ and to establish joint meat processing factory that satisfies requirements and standards of Russia within the framework of increasing export volume of Mongolian meat and meat products.  
 
In response, Mr.D.V.Manturov remarked that Russia pays special attention on ties with Mongolia especially in culture, trade and economic cooperation.
 
The Russian Minister affirmed that trade turnover between the two countries is increasing and expressed interest to import needed goods to Mongolia, to establish factories of aircraft assembling and leather and hide processing, to supply agricultural facilities and aircrafts as well as to take part in renovation and extension works of the Third Thermal Power Plant and Ulaanbaatar Railway and to build a highway.
