Students learning waste management

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A regular training targeted to promote benefit of sorting and recycling waste to the 8th grade students of high schools and to help them develop a good habit was held on May 23 by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism in cooperation with the Fresh Water Resources and Nature Conservation Center, the Khangarid Rotary Club and Australian KESAB Environmental Solutions NGO.
State Secretary of the Ministry Ts.Tsengel addressed an opening speech and handed over ‘Green Passport’ to students. The training gives knowledge on how to sort waste, importance of recycling by Australian experienced teachers. The Mongolian National Recycling Association also delivered information on waste recycling plants which are being erected within ‘Eco Park’ project.
The Khangarid Rotary Club is successfully implementing projects such as Green Way and Magic Brick with support from Australian mini-project funding.
