Health Minister attending 71st World Health Assembly

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolian delegates led by Health Minister D.Sarangerel are taking part in the 71st World Health Assembly, which is running on May 21-26 in Geneva.
It is attended by over 3500 delegations from all 194 WHO Member States, UN-specialized organizations and other international organizations.
The World Health Assembly is the supreme decision-making body for WHO and its main function is to determine the policies of the Organization. The Health Assembly appoints the Director-General, supervises the financial policies of the Organization, and reviews and approves the proposed program budget. Strategic priorities, technical matters and matters for information are also being discussed.
