Czech NGO to implement project on air pollution in Ulaanbaatar and Arkhangai

Arkhangai /MONTSAME/ The Czech NGO People in Need is to implement project themed ‘Right to Breathe’ to increase access to information, transparency and accountability in air pollution activities in Ulaanbaatar city and Arkhangai aimag.
 
Country Director at People in Need Mongolia Marc A.Tasse and relevant officials met Deputy Governor of Arkhangai aimag B.Bolormaa on May 21 and they expressed that the NGO will support the project in all possible ways. The project is aimed at measuring air pollution in Arkhangai aimag, creating data system and organizing impact activities for citizens.
 
The project will be realized between 2018 and 2020 with the funding of EUR314.590 from the European Union and the Czech Development Agency.
 
In the frames of the project, the relevant officials led by Marc A.Tasse will work in Arkhangai in June and commence the project by starting their survey and installing several air pollution monitoring equipment in Tsetserleg city, Arkhangai aimag. On the sidelines of it, they will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Governor of Erdemebulgan soum.
