Members of Democratic Party Group in the Parliament meets IMF team

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ MPs S.Erdene and Z.Narantuya received IMF staff team chief Geoff Gottlieb and IMF Resident Representative in Mongolia Neil Saker on May 11.
The IMF staff team is working in Mongolia these days to conduct the fourth review of the Extended Fund Facility Program being realized in Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, MP S.Erdene noted that the Democratic Party Group in the Parliament is carefully observing the results of activities being co-implemented by the Government of Mongolia and the IMF.
Chief of the IMF staff team Geoff Gottlied said that the IMF staff team is working in Mongolia for the third time and it is the first meeting with the members of the Democratic Party Group in the Parliament. He then expressed his view on the change in Mongolian economy since the implemention of the IMF Extended Fund Facility.
The sides discussed and exchanged views on budget, budget deficit and other issues in regard to the implementation of the IMF program.
