Students receive Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Ceremony to award Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship to students of the National University of Mongolia (NUM) took place today in the NUM.
In the scope of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Sumitomo Corporation and NUM, the Sumitomo Corporation has granted its scholarship to NUM students for the 23rd time. This year, 23 students continue to receive the scholarship in addition to newly selected seven students.

Annually, 30 students are awarded the Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship. If students meet the requirement, they receive the scholarship worth USD 500 until their graduation. By double count a total of 468 students have received the Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship.
In 1996, as part of its 50th anniversary initiative, Sumitomo Corporation established the Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship. Since then, the scholarship has been given to outstanding university students in Asian countries, including Indonesia, Myanmar and Pakistan, for the development of future leaders in those countries.
