Cuban coach to train Mongolian youth boxing team

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An  experienced coach from Cuba will work with the Mongolian national youth's boxing team. Head of the Physical culture and Sports authority of Mongolia, Ts.Sharavjamts and President of the Cuban National Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation, Antonio Eduardo Becali Garrido discussed on the issue during their meeting on April 5, 2018.

Cuba ranks high in the world in volleyball, judo and boxing sports and they have requested to send trainers to Mongolia. Within the request Cuban boxing coach will come to Mongolia soon. The sides held talks on organizing trainings for national teams of the two countries to participate in the 2020 Summer Olympics in five sports category.

During the meeting President of the Cuban National Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation Antonio Eduardo Becali Garrido said that "Cuba's climate is warm throughout the year, so it is a good place for athletes to train regularly. We will be happy to receive Mongolian athletes and organize joint trainings."

The two sides agreed to cooperate in sports of volleyball, freestyle wrestling, judo, boxing and gymnastics and organize trainings for coaches, trainers and athletes.

Mongolian Judo Association requested Mr.Antonio Eduardo Becali Garrido to exchange wrestlers in lightweight and heavyweight categories between the two countries and Mongolian Gymnastics Federation proposed to organize a joint training with Cuban athletes in Mongolia.
