Altan Khalis Independent Film Festival to be held in June

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The sixth Altan Khalis Independent Film Festival (AKIFF) will be held on June 2-8 in Ulaanbaatar. The festival consists of feature films presentation and a competition for domestic and foreign short films.
The applicant’s registration for the festival’s competition part is now open. This year the festival receives films in five categories including ‘Narrative Film’, ‘Animation’, ‘Documentary’, ‘Experimental Picture’ and ‘Junior Cinema’.
Starting from this year AKIFF is receiving applications from children under 16, who is interested in filmmaking for the ‘Junior Cinema’ category.
The winner will receive ‘Golden Reel’ award and MNT 2 million. The award winning Mongolian films will receive the right to be presented for the selections of the Athens International Film+Video Festival 2018.
