Horse racing banned until June 1, 2018

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on March 27, the Cabinet approved a resolution on some actions to combat animal contagious disease—bovine foot-and-mouth disease.
It was decided to ban organizing a horse racing in all aimags and soums until June 1, 2018 with a purpose to stop an outbreak of the disease. Also it was prohibited to migrate livestock in aimags and soums where the disease cases were recorded.
U.Enkhtuvshin, deputy Prime Minister and chief of the State Emergency Commission and governors of aimags and the capital city were obliged to hold legal responsibility on individuals, entities and officials who caused the outbreak of the disease, violated the quarantine and did not take relevant actions.
