Online platform for Mongolian scientific journals being improved

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting and discussion ‘Current Development of Mongolian Scientific Journal, Further Objectives, Standard and Requirements’ took place on March 16. The meeting was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports and the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) with the support from the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP).
At the meeting, the participants exchanged views on improving quality and standard of online scientific journals and discussed good examples of other international scientific journals.
MAS Secretary Sc.D B.Avid said that the MAS in cooperation with the Mongolian Libraries Consortium has developing online platform for scientific publications with the support from the INASP. So far, scientific publications of the MAS, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and International Studies Institute and one agricultural journal have being published online on the platform. Those publications have from 10 to 20 thousand readers per month. So, we are working to make more journals online.

As of today, Mongolian has over 150 scientific journals, of which 11 are online.
