95 students and teachers granted certificate to study in Japan

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ A certificate granting ceremony for students to study in Japan from this April under the JICA’s Loan Project ‘Higher Engineering Education Development Project’ was held on March 14.  

Ts.Tsogzolmaa, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport, presented the certificatie to 96 students and teachers who have qualified to study this year in Japan. Among them 10 teachers and researchers will attend master and doctoral programs, 56 undergraduate students will study in 10 Japanese universities under the joint Bachelor program and 30 students will study in technology colleges within the KOSEN program.

The Project, being implemented in the fourth year by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport of Mongolia, aims to train skilled engineers and technological specialists, improve competitiveness of engineering education, strengthen human resource of teaching and improve training environment and quality.

Within the project, a total of 1000 engineers will be trained in Japan. As of 2017, 275 students, teachers and researchers were studying under the project. The new 95 students and teachers makes the number 370.
