Mongolian Film Festival organized in Kolkata

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ ‘Mongolian Film Festival 2018’ was organized for the 3rd time at the film complex Nandan in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, India, informed Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on March 12.

Former West Bengal Governor Shyamal Kumar Sen, India’s prominent movie director Goutam Ghose and actor Arindam Ganguly attended the opening of the film festival, co-organized by Mongolia’s Embassy to the Republic of India and Honorary Consul in West Bengal.

The two countries exchange cultural representatives and cooperate in Mongol studies, Buddhism, philosophy and cultural spheres. The sides noted a full possibility to make documentaries and features jointly.  

Indian audience enjoyed watching Mongolian films ‘Remote control’, Busan international film festival award winner, ‘People with blue spots’ and ‘Weeping camel’.

In the scope of the movie-exchange of the two countries, ‘Indian Film Festival’ is planned in July in Ulaanbaatar.
