Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh delivers greetings to mothers and women

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Under the auspices of the Prime Minister, an honorary ceremony for Mongolian mothers was held in the State House on March 8, International Women’s Day. In the ceremony, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh delivered greetings to Mongolian mothers and women on behalf of himself and the Government of Mongolia and gave remarks. 

In his speech, the PM stated about recent government actions on mothers and women, including ‘Paid mothers’ program.“The government is ready to submit a Bill on Maternal and Child Health to the Parliament to create a legal environment to define responsibility and duty of citizens for health issues of mothers and children. There has been effective outcome of the government policy on protection of maternal and child health. An example is that the United Nations declared Mongolia to be 9th country that had implemented successfully the Millennium Development Goals in reducing maternal and child mortality,” the PM highlighted.
