No amendments to be made to 2018 state budget, announces PM

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ “The Government is adhering to two main principles; to improve accountability and discipline in all stages of public organizations and to take persistent actions to satisfy economic growth. As a result, the efforts lead to some achievements,” said U.Khurelsukh, Prime Minister of Mongolia and Chairman of Mongolian People’s Party, at a meeting with heads of primary units of the Mongolian People’s Party on February 26.
He also added that no amendments would be made to this year’s state budget. “This year, we will complete our planned works without any amendments to 2018 state budget. This is for eliminating economic and budgetary disorders arisen under pretext of budget adjustment,” noted the PM.
As a chairman of the MPP, U. Khurelsukh stressed, “MPP has a sole interest-‘An interest of the people’. Heads of the party organizations of all stages must be aware of it. It has been three months since I became a chairman of the party. Now, we demand and take responsibility. Anyone who took down the party’s reputation and was involved in bribery will be discharged from the party.”
During the meeting, heads of the primary units of MPP asked questions and received answers regarding an implementation of the MPP’s platform for 2016 election, reforms in MPP, the country’s present socio-economic situation and development.
S.Batbold, Governor of the capital city, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and acting chief of Ulaanbaatar city committee of MPP, underlined, “The revised bill on legal status of the capital city was considered at the Parliament after 27 years and it also was backed by the government. It is a success to create a new legal environment for Ulaanbaatar city development.”
