Snow Festival of the capital city takes place

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar city’s Snow Festival was organized for 10th year on Saturday, February 24 at the Khandgait ski resort.
Staffs of Ulaanbaatar city's nine districts administration, 33 implementing agencies of the City Governor's Office, city-owned enterprises and citizens participated in the event, which was organized within the city’s sport festival ‘Silver Ulaanbaatar’. ‘Silver Ulaanbaatar’ sports festival is annually organized amongst city organizations throughout the winter.
During the opening ceremony, parachutists of the special rescue team of the National Emergency Management Agency let the flag of Ulaanbaatar city fly and gave an air performance. Moreover, prizes were presented to teams and athletes of city organizations that won last year’s sport events.
Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Sh.Ankhmaa highlighted the Snow Festival to be significant to develop winter sports and tourism and aim to inspire citizens to spend their free time healthy in fresh air.
