Trilateral collaboration emphasized in reducing smog

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At a scientific conference themed ‘Role, participation and collaboration of state, scientific and private organizations’, which was held on January 29, scientists were in agreement that to reduce smog it is vital to consider not only air pollution but also air quality, particle pollution and its negative influence to public health.

United participation of scientific and private organizations is significant to air pollution reduction actions in addition to state policy and actions regarding migration, urban planning, energy reserve and sources, building standard, heat loss and sanitary facilities in ger area, D.Regdel, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences highlighted in his opening remarks.

During the conference, a study on air pollution reduction experiences of London, Beijing, and Tokyo cities and their legal regulations was presented.

Moreover, attendees of the conference will formulate a recommendation regarding long, mid and short term policies to be implemented by government and submit it to Governor’s Office of Capital City, state administrative organs in charge of Air and Environmental Pollution and the National Committee for Air Pollution Reduction.
