Mongolia and Vietnam to boost bilateral cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On November 23, S. Batbold, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, met Doan Thi Huong, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

At the meeting, the Mayor said that Ulaanbaatar city has a relationship with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities of Vietnam, but the bilateral cooperation between cities is inactive in recent years. In this regard, the Mayor requested the Ambassador to render support to boost mutually beneficial cooperation.
 
In response, the Ambassador expressed commitment to work for expanding bilateral relations of the two countries, in particular relations between cities. “This year marks 63rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the hard times of Vietnam, Mongolians helped us generously. We never forget it,” emphasized the Ambassador.  

She also said, “Recently, tourism tends to develop between the two countries; thus we have possibilities to develop cooperation in tourism. During my tenure in Mongolia, I will make my best effort to bilateral cooperation in trade sector.”
