Bolor Tsom poetry festival coming to Gobi-Altai aimag

Mongolia’s biggest poetry event Bolor Tsom (literal meaning: Crystal Goblet) was first held in December, 1983 at the initiative of leading poets and authors including People’s Writer D.Purevdorj.
The festival was held in the capital city every year until 2007, when an initiative was forwarded to bring the event closer to provincial readers by choosing different aimags as hosts. The organizers will receive poetry submissions from poets wishing to participate in the 35th Bolor Tsom until December 8.
The 34th Bolor Tsom was held in Dornod aimag last year, and poet B.Batsaikhan won the contest.
