Script of eternal sky-2017 calligraphy exhibition opens

At the initiative of the President of Mongolia, calligraphic exhibition “Script of Eternal Sky – 2017” opened on Friday in “Ord” Exhibit Hall of the Junior Center for Creative Arts. The exhibition was organized on the occasion of the 855th birth anniversary of Great Chinggis Khaan – National Pride Day.
Opening ceremony was attended by President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts.Tsogzolmaa and famous linguistic and historic scientists, writers and representatives of teachers and students.
The exhibition has been organized annually since 2011. This year, the exhibition is displaying calligraphic works created by eight distinguished artists and 55 school children with purposes to help children learn and promote Mongolian traditional script.
G.Oyunsuren, 12th class pupil of 5th secondary school won the first prize with her calligraphy work “The secret history of Mongols”.
The exhibition is open to public until November 23rd.
