Investigation to be conducted regarding mining license row

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The General Prosecutor Office has established a joint working group to investigate and clarify information if a group of people got wealth by illegally obtaining mining licenses and selling the licenses.
When President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga had put veto on the Parliamentary resolution partly regarding the appointment of Ch.Khurelbaatar as Finance Minister, the President mentioned about 30 families that have got rich from mining licenses and control interests in mining and infrastructure sectors and it raised argument during discussions of the veto in the Parliament.
Prosecutor Office of Ulaanbaatar filed a case to check whether the row has criminal character in accordance with Criminal Code and State General Prosecutor Office established the joint working group consisting of officers from some investigation organizations to intensify the investigation, to check the case completely and urgently and define the actual condition and identify the offenders.
