Minister of Environment and Tourism meets UNESCAP Deputy Executive SecretaryEnvironment
Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat met Kaveh Zahedi, Deputy Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), on November 1.
At the meeting, N.Tserenbat emphasized advancement in cooperation between the Ministry and the UNESCAP, for instance a triple document ‘Environment Performance Review’, ‘Sustainability Outlook for Mongolia’ and ‘Mongolia’s pathways to sustainable development’ started being worked out.
He also expressed an interest in cooperating on improving statistics and building capacity of human resources of the environment sector.
In turn, Kaveh Zahedi informed about a cooperation opportunity in green and climate finance.
