PM meets Ambassador of Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh received Friday Masato Takaoka, Ambassador of Japan.
PM said that the Mongolian Government will maintain continuity of foreign policy on the bilateral relations with Japan and attach an importance to deepen the strategic partnership relations.

He also mentioned about successful organization of many activities on the occasion of 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries.

“On occasion of the anniversary, heads of the legislative bodies of two countries paid reciprocal visits. It was very important event in the history of bilateral relations,” said U. Khurelsukh.

U. Khurelsukh also thanked the Ambassador for Japan’s decision to grant a soft loan worth USD 850 million within the framework of IMF’s ‘Extended Fund Facility’ and to implement ‘Project for improvement of primary education facilities’ in Mongolia.

Ambassador said, “A first phase of the project will commence soon. Also, two sides of the project on New Ulaanbaatar International Airport in Khushig Valley are intensifying their works to complete the construction in near future.”
