Minister of Construction and Urban Development receives TIKA delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan met a delegation led by Veysel Ciftci, Ulaanbaatar Program Coordinator of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).
 
The meeting was attended by Ismail Hakki Turunc, Special Advisor to the Mayor of Istanbul City, Nurettin Korkut, General Manager of the ISPARK company, Melih Murat Kizilchelik, Engineer, Kolya Dumai, L.Batjargal, Director of Policy and Planning Department of the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, L.Bilegjargal, Director of International Cooperation Department and Lkhamserjid, a specialist.
 
Minister Kh.Badelkhan expressed his gratitude towards the Turkish Government and people for cooperating with Mongolia and broadening the bilateral relations for many years.

“Our people are thankful to Turkey for implementing many projects, programs, medical and humanitarian aid in Mongolia. Our construction sector has been studying practices of Rental Apartment Program since 2005, and implemented some of them, such as Buyant-Ukhaa district and Wastewater Treatment projects. A wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 20 thousand cubic meters is being constructed in Khan-Uul District under the partnership with the Turkish invested HNC and Erturgul LLCs by an order of the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development. It is possible to cooperate further with the new Government and provide support by investing to the mortgage loan,” the Minister said.
 
In his turn, Ismail Hakki Turunc expressed thanks the Minister for the audience. "Around half of your citizens are living in the ger district. We also experienced this problem before. Many construction projects and programs, such as underwater railroad between Europe and Asia, metro and tunnel, were implemented to become one of the leading countries in the world. For us to achieve success, system and political sustainability were of utmost importance, rather than money. We have accomplished this during our prospering years of construction, when a single party was in power for 16 consecutive years,” he said.

The sides mentioned about the projects and programs implemented in Mongolia in the last 20 years. The delegates invited Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan to the Republic of Turkey to further discuss future cooperation.
