President Kh.Battulga honored as Commander-In-Chief

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, at the central square of Ulaanbaatar, the new President of Mongolia Battulga Khaltmaa was honored and welcomed as the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces. The Ceremonial parade was commanded by General J.Badambazar, vice chairman of the General Staff of Armed Forces.
Present were also, Minister for Defense B.Bat-Erdene, Chairman of the General Staff of Armed Forces Lieutenant-General B.Davaa along with members of parliament, officials from Central Intelligence Agency, National Emergency Management Agency and the General Police Department.

After the President’s speech, the military wind orchestra played the National Anthem.

“Generals, officers, sergeants, lieutenants and soldiers, and
Dear guests,
I would like to congratulate You, contingents of state military institutions of Mongolia, who have been consistently fulfilling the duty of defending the independence, sovereignty of our homeland, territorial integrity and security of our people through the ups and downs of all our history and passing down from generation to generation the peace without conflicts and war and achievements in defending the motherland”, he began.
He said that knowledge, professional skills and hard work of military personnel are of vital significance in perfectly observing the duties before the state and the people and to endure security of the nation.
As the Commander-In-Chief, the President’s main focus will be the renewal of legal grounds for military and defense actions of Mongolia and strengthening defense capacity, according to his speech.
Mr Battulga also pledged to make the defense sector take active parts in upbringings of children through providing knowledge and education about defending the homeland mentally and physically, and that he will demand the sector’s officials to be the best versions of themselves.
In the end, he wished “May the spirit of Mongolian soldiers to ignite for ever”.
