Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, April 17, the Democratic Party group in Parliament discussed the approved amendments to the state budget. The group urges to postpone the enforcement term of increased tax rates. Even though the group could not get majority support regarding their proposal not to raise tax rates, they request  to postpone the implementation of the three tax rates that were decided to increase.
“- Tax on interest of bank savings, customs tax on imported cigarettes and excise tax on passenger cars will come into effect on May 01. Sudden increase of tax rate without giving time makes businessmen more anxious and highly probable to raise product prices and negatively affect the livelihood of citizens.  Therefore, the period to take these laws into force should be put off” said MP Z.Narantuya.
The DP group also asks to reconsider elevation of the retirement age and make retirement age clear for herders and for people, who work in hard or unhealthy conditions, as relevant laws just allowed these people to retire earlier.
