Mongolia and Russia to explore new rooms for cooperation
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Within his working visit to Moscow, Minister of Road and Transportation of Mongolia D.Ganbat last Thursday held a meeting with Oleg Belozerov, the President of Russian Railways (RZD).
At the meeting, the sides exchanged their views on improving transportation conditions and legal environment of the“Ulaanbaatar Railway” Mongolian-Russian Joint-Stock Company, on increasing its capacity and the Russian transit freight to China through Mongolia’s rail network. The parties agreed to explore possibilities for cooperation in implementing railway infrastucture projects which have been provided for in a program on creation of the economic corridor linking Mongolia, Russia and China.
In addition, the two sides agreed to stimulate bilateral collaboration in this area.
