Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj received Monday Olympic medalists, and freestyle wrestlers and their coaches, in the State House.

Elbegdorj congratulated D.Sumiya (judo) and D.Otgondalai (boxing) on grabbing silver and bronze medals in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, emphasizing that Mongolians are awaiting more success from them.

“Both medalists are from the ‘Khilchin’ sports club. During the farewell ceremony, they sworn in representing all Mongolian Olympians, so it is very interesting that the oath takers captured the medals for Mongolia at the Olympics,” the President said.

Elbegdorj also welcomed a sensational action of Mongolian coaches who strip down in protest after G.Mandakhnaran missed out at the freestyle wrestling competition. “It was a fight against corruption and for justice in sports,” he stressed, and then wished them more success in sports.
