Ts.Oyungerel MP meets Ambassador of Germany

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of the State Great Khural Ts.Oyungerel met Wednesday Gerhard Thiedemann, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia upon the latter’s request.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador informed that he plans to work in New Zealand in near future, while he saying that he is thankful to Oyungerel MP for contributing to the bilateral cooperation in culture, particularly to a joint research of archeological findings.

Oyungerel MP said that opening of an outdoor museum in Kharkhorin, Ovorkhangai aimag and displaying of ancient findings including an Altai zither to the public with German support were a remarkable event in the cultural cooperation of the countries. The museum’s opening was a model collaboration in further archeological works in Mongolia, she added.

The Ambassador pointed out that German side intends to launch a study of a mummified body belonged to the Ice Age together with the National Museum of Mongolia.

At the meeting, views were also shared on laws passed last week on criminal procedure and on law enforcement.
