Int’l book festival to take place
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the context of the “Friendly Ulaanbaatar” program, an Ulaanbaatar international book fair will be organized on May 20-21 on Chingis Khaan square.
Under a motto “Booklovers of friendly city”, the forthcoming fair will bring together novelists, readers and tourists from many different countries. The event consists of an international cultural exhibition, meetings of children and senior novelists, days of library and various contests. Moreover, publishing houses and book stores will offer discounts of 20-50% off for books.
Visitors of the book fair are able to buy books with signatures of their favorite novelists and authors. This fair will continue with a campaign for collecting books for donation to the new Chingeltei district-based Children’s House of Books.
The administration of Ulaanbaatar city invited libraries of Ulaanbaatar, the Embassies in UB, publishing houses, novelists, translators and representatives from universities and NGOs to join the upcoming fair.
