Speaker meets people of Ovorkhangai
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In frames of his working tour to localities, the Speaker of parliament Z.Enkhbold Wednesday held a meeting with the Ovorkhangai aimag's inhabitants to give a report about laws and resolutions adopted during the autumn session of parliament.
He said that 90 days' 38 plenary meetings had adopted 426 laws, 64 parliamentary resolutions, where 29 were independent laws and amendments to 355 laws, and that Standing committees had met 131 times.
Having given details on newly-adopted laws on crime, on conflicts, on amnesty and on surviving spouse’s pension, he talked about an implementation course of the “Mongolian troops in great construction” and mortgage loan programs. "The latter has involved 1,136 families in Ovorkhangai," he said.
The work in Ovorkhangai has completed the Speaker's tour to aimags.
In this province he was accompanied by L.Erdenechimeg MP, a head of the Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture; D.Togtokhsuren, a governor of Ovorkhangai province; L.Enkhbat, a governor of Kharkhorin soum; and other officials.
