Standing committee backs diplomatic relations with some states
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting of the parliamentary Standing committee on security and foreign policy discussed Thursday an issue whether to consideri a draft resolution of parliament on establishing such ties.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren presented a report of the draft resolution’s report. Noting that Mongolia has established the diplomatic relations with 181 countries so far, the FM said the government has signed joint statements on establishing these relations with Gabon, Saint Lucia, Niger, Cameroon, and Marshall Islands.
A majority of the MPs backed a creation of the diplomatic relations with these countries.
