Standing committee consults appointment of new Ambassadors

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting of the Standing committee on security and foreign policy Thursday considered issues of recalling current Ambassadors of Mongolia to some countries and appointing new Ambassadors.

The President had proposed D.Gankhuyag as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the People’s Republic of China, A.Battor--to Japan, S.Tsoggerel--the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Ts.Jambaldorj--to Italy, and Z.Batbayar--to Hungary.

In conjunction with it, the current Ambassador of Mongolia Ts.Sukhbaatar will be recalled from China, M.Ganbold--from the DPRK, T.Gandi--from Hungary, and Sh.Odonbaatar--from Italy.

A majority of the parliamentarians (80%) backed a recalling of and appoint of the new Ambassadors. This issue will be submitted to a plenary meeting of the parliamentary session.
