This year sees sharp falls in mutton and beef prices
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of the end of December, a kilogram of mutton with bones is 3,900 Togrog at average, indicating 33.4 percent decrease in price over the beginning of this year. Average price for a kilo of beef with bones stands at MNT 5,515, also showing a decrease of 25.6 percent over the same period.
According to the last week’s observation, the lowest beef price MNT 5,000 is offered in Bayanzurkh and Kharkhorin food markets, while Nomin supermarket is offering the highest price of MNT 7,600. As for mutton, the cheapest are at Kharkhorin food market at MNT 3,500 and the most expensive -- in Mercury food market at MNT 7,500, reports the UB City statistics department.
