Presidents hold official talks
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj and his French counterpart Mr Francois Hollande held Thursday official talks in the Elysee Palace in Paris.
Before the talks, the leader of France welcomed the Mongolian President, with the Guard of honour. Mr Hollande thanked his high guest for visiting France in these difficult times and underlined that Mongolia is a privileged partner of France in Asia.
"The democratic values unite us, our economic cooperation has been boosting," the French President said and added that the two countries can cooperate in agriculture and space sciences spheres.
He highlighted goals of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will to kick off this November 30 in Paris, and asked the Mongolian side to back them.
In turn, Mr Elbegdorj expressed again condolences to France over deaths of many people during the Paris attacks and said the Mongolians share French people's grief.
He expressed a satisfaction with visiting France in the year of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations, "these ties have been intensifying in the last years in concrete areas".
Mr Elbegdorj also said the two countries can collaborate in the defense sector, especially in the peacekeeping missions. Underlining a significance of cooperating in the cultural sector, the President of Mongolia proposed mounting a Mongolia's cultural exhibition in France.
Mr Hollande stated that he will participate in the 11th ASEM Summit, which will run next year in Ulaanbaatar, and said the French side will give Mongolia a concrete help in hosting this grand event. Mr Elbegdorj also spoke about his initiative on Mongolia's permanent neutrality policy. In response, Mr Hollande said he sees this policy as important in strengthening the democracy.
Mr Elbegdorj said his visit to France will contribute to the bilateral cooperation in the animal husbandry sector.
