DP faction backs taking loan from China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the Democratic Party’s (DP) faction at parliament B.Garamgaibaatar and his deputy S.Odontuya gave Monday a report on the faction's regular meeting that ran a bit earlier that day in closed regime.

The meeting heard a report from the Prime Minister, and considered a matter on preparing bills on the 2016 budget, on 2016 budget for the Social Insurance Fund (SIF) and other relevant draft laws for the second discussions, they said.

The faction discussed and backed a draft general agreement on a loan of one billion US dollars to be taken from the Export-Import Bank of China. Some 703 million from the money is expected to finance a project on building the Eg River’s hydropower station. As of present, works of USD 90 million have been done in the station.

Garamgaibaatar went on that the democrats expressed their views over issues of amending the Constitution of Mongolia, for the time being, signatures are being collected to back the amendment, there must be signatures of 50 MPs at least. "No MPs from the Mongolian People’s Party has signed for the amendment".
