Delegation of Health and Sport Ministry visits Brazil

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation of the Mongolian Ministry of Health and Sport has visited the Rio De Janeiro city-based Fluminense Sport Club of Brazil for sharing experiences in sports.

The Mongolian delegation included Kh.Bakhytjan, head of the Ministry’s Regulatory Department of Policy on Physical Culture and Sport; and P.Bat-Erdene, director of the Development Center for Physical Culture and Sports.

Our delegation has met with Marcio Sa, director of the Fluminense Club for external affairs, and legged the club’s Hall of Fame. The sides exchanged views on ensuring preparations for Mongolian athletes to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Brazil and inviting Brazilian professional football players and coaches to Mongolia.

Founded in 1902, the Fluminense club is considered as the most successful club in Brazil, producing many famous athletes in shooting, judo, boxing, swimming and football. Its football club has won the top league of Brazil four times as well as the Copa Rio Internacional once.
