10th meeting runs of Nat’l council for ASEM Summit preparation
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chaired by the Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg, the National Council for preparation for the 11th ASEM Summit held its 10th meeting on Thursday.
It considered matters related to financing for roads, transportation, communications and the international airport and 300 big-sized buses for inter-city transport to be purchased with a loan from the EXIM Bank of the Republic of Korea.
A report was given about some works done in the “Chingis Khaan” international airport with investments from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and a course of works for expanding transit and passenger halls at the international airport, constructing additional plane parking areas and enhancing the runways. Some 95% of these works have been completed, the report says.
The Minister of Justice D.Dorligjav spoke about about staffs of urgent operations and a general operation center for the Summit’s organization.
Expenses for the ASEM Summit’s organization are expected to be resolved by the state budget as well as by financial aid and soft loans from some countries. The Premier obliged the Foreign Ministry’s officials to focus on this matter.
In addition, works will be done to construct roads and drainages along the streets going between the venue and hotels.
