Mongolia and Iran want to forward ties
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia aspires to step up its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all spheres such as politics, trade, economy, culture and education.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren said it at a meeting Wednesday with a delegation of Iran led by Mr Hadi Soleimanpour, an executive director of the Center for International Research and Education at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Noting that the two countries have a big chance to broaden the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation in many spheres, Mr Soleimanpour reaffirmed that Iran will back Mongolia at the 2015 election of the United Nations Council for Human Rights (UNCHR). He added that Iran is ready to train Mongolian students in learning Persian language and history in a governmental line.
The sides noted their countries have been actively cooperating in studying the history of the IlKhanate, and shared views on a preparation for upcoming 2nd joint scientific committee as well as an international conference themed “Gerege: Values of Asian civilization in 13-14th centuries” to be held this October 27-29 in Ulaanbaatar.
