PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reports that the maximum precipitation this August was recorded at 212.1 mm in Selenge aimag’s Bulgan soum.
Air temperature in most areas of the country exceeded 30.0°C, while Uvs aimag’s Tes soum had the highest (40.0°C).
In August, as measured by over 10 air quality monitoring stations, an average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide exceeded by 1-22 times, dust content with less than 2.5 micron exceeded 1-2 times, and dust content with less than 10 micron in the atmosphere of Ulaanbaatar exceeded the maximum acceptable level by 8-19 times.
