Mongolia marked the Day of Tribute to the Victims of the Political Repression on September 10, 2023 for the 28th year. On this day, the Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President of Mongolia Sodbaatar Yangug, Deputy Chairman of the State Great Khural and Chair of the State Commission on Rehabilitation Odontuya Saldan paid respects and laid wreaths to the Monument for the Politically Repressed.
Feasibility Study for Sewage Sludge Recycling Plant Launched
A feasibility study for the construction of a sewage sludge recycling plant in Ulaanbaatar is under progress. During the Ulaanbaatar-International Investment and Partnership Forum last April in Ulaanbaatar, the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority, Keumkang Corporation of the Republic of Korea, and Ulaanbaatar Development Corporation JSC signed a tripartite memorandum. Following the memorandum "Keumkang-Three ENC" Corporation of South Korea committed to provide funding for the development of the feasibility study for the construction of the sewage sludge recycling plant.

Press Center for Pope Francis’ Visit Opens
About 150 correspondents from more than 60 foreign media outlets have come to Mongolia to cover the event. A Press Center for the reporters has opened at the Novotel Hotel. The center will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day during the State Visit. The reporters have already delivered their first reports about the arrival of Pope Francis in Mongolia from this center.
First Largest Solar Power Plants in Remote Areas
The first-ever largest solar power plant in a remote area of Mongolia is under construction to be completed in December 2023. It is a 10MW Solar power plant in Murun soum of Khuvsgul aimag, the northern province of Mongolia.The Murun 10MW Solar Power Plant is a subproject of the Upscaling Renewable Energy Sector Project being implemented with a grant of USD 14.6 million from the Strategic Climate Fund, USD 6 million from Japan Fund for the Joint Crediting Mechanism, and a loan of USD 40 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Ulaanbaatar-Zamin-Uud-Erlian passenger train service is to be restored.The train service, which has been at a standstill for three years will start tomorrow or on August 31, 2023. Mayor Highlights Accessible Public Transport Against Traffic Congestion
The development index of Ulaanbaatar city is 0.464, defined by 86 indicators in four groups: sustainability, quality of the living environment, accessibility, and competitiveness, and six categories: health, infrastructure, economy, society, education, and governance.
