Representatives of Education Ministry watch cultural festival of Mongolian students in Russia

Moscow /MONTSAME/ Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports who are on visit to Moscow, capital city of the Russian Federation watched a cultural festival held among Mongolian students on November 18. According to an informal survey, over 1000 Mongolian students study in Moscow.
Organized by the Union of Mongolian Students in
Russia, the cultural festival with a motto “Opportunity is in hand of me, you
and all of us” was competed by six teams. Among them, ‘Lokomotiv’ team from the Russian
University of Transport led the festival, followed by ‘Made in RUDN’ team from
the People’s Friendship University and 'Plekhanovtsy' team from the Plekhanov Russian
University of Economics.
"Many Mongolian students are studying abroad with foreign
scholarships in recent years. Currently, Governments of 22 countries are
granting scholarships to Mongolian students. Of which, universities
in Russia enroll the highest or 500 students a year," said B.Ganbat, Advisor to
the Minister.
Additionally, an official visit headed by Minister Ts.Tsogzolmaa to Russia begins today and the delegation will meet with heads of the Ministries of Enlightenment, Science and Higher Education, Sports, Culture and Natural resources and Environment of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo agency to establish cooperation agreements.
