AI to Be Used in Certain Sectors
Society
Ulaanbaatar, November 11, 2025
/MONTSAME/. Over 2,600 AI-powered surveillance cameras are being deployed
at 176 intersections and crossings across Ulaanbaatar city.
The initiative aims to prevent road accidents and violations in 2025, ensure the safety of road users, and strengthen enforcement of traffic laws and regulations.

During the Capital city
leadership’s meeting, Mayor Nyambaatar Khishgee instructed
municipal agencies to integrate artificial intelligence to streamline and
accelerate work processes actively.
Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Nyambaatar
Khishgee stated, “In recent years, technological advancement has
accelerated rapidly, and AI has entered almost every sector to varying degrees.
We must not fall behind in this global development. There is a growing need to
apply AI in workplaces where it can ease human labor and, in some cases,
substitute for certain tasks, especially in roles involving data processing,
reporting, and statistical calculations.”
In addition, to reduce traffic
congestion in Ulaanbaatar, negotiations have been underway since last spring
with the UK-based company “Skyral” to introduce big data-based traffic
modeling. The city plans to apply AI-driven big-data modeling for the engineering
and planning of major transport infrastructure projects, including the Tuul
expressway, ring expressway, metro, and tramway systems.
