Parliamentary Groups of Mongolia and Italy Discuss the Intensification of Cooperation with New Content

Ulaanbaatar, November 1, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On October 31, 2024, Undraa Agvaanluvsan, Member of the Parliament and Chair of the Mongolia-Italy Parliamentary Group, Purevdavaa Davaakhuu, Deputy Chair of the Mongolia-Italy Parliamentary Group, met with the Italian delegation headed by Nicola Carè, Member of the Chamber of Deputies. 


At the meeting, Mr. Nicola Carè expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet during the ongoing budget discussions for the upcoming year, and as the Chair of the Italy-Mongolia Parliamentary Group, he highlighted initiatives to expand interparliamentary cooperation in various forms. 


Member of the State Great Khural Undraa Agvaanluvsan expressed confidence that the Mongolia-Italy Parliamentary Group would lead the way in expanding relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries with new content. MP Undraa Agvaanluvsan underscored that despite the geographical distance, the two countries share common values of human rights and democracy and mentioned the mutually beneficial possibilities in the economic and business sectors. Moreover, Ms. Undraa expressed her intention to cooperate in numerous areas, including science, agriculture, urban planning, and construction.


Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Italy Nicola Carè underlined the growing business and economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly noting the increase in the export of cashmere and cashmere products. Additionally, the two sides exchanged views on best practices for reducing air pollution and agreed on further collaboration to foster sustainable development by adopting green housing and green housing standards.
