Mongolian Wrestlers Claim Ten Medals at Yasar Dogu 2024

Ulaanbaatar, March 11, 2024. /MONTSAME/. The International Wrestling Tournament “Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan” was held for the 52nd time in Antalya, Türkiye, on March 7-10, 2024.
At the Tournament, the Mongolian National Freestyle Wrestling Team demonstrated their strength and skills and earned ten medals, marking an appealing accomplishment. Specifically, female athletes of the team won two gold, three silver, and one bronze, while male athletes brought home four silver medals from the Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan International Wrestling Tournament. A total of nine Mongolian finalists in the Tournament, B. Bolortuya and E. Delgermaa topped the podium, playing the national anthem, whereas seven of them became Candidate Master of Sports of Mongolia. As a result, female athletes took second place with 133 points, and male athletes captured third place with 108 points.
Currently, Mongolian athletes are preparing to participate and compete for Olympic Qualifications in the upcoming Asian Wrestling Championships to take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on April 11-16, 2024.
