COVID-19 infections declined by about 70 percent
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The number of COVID-19 cases in
Mongolia has decreased by about 70 percent in November, compared to September
and October.
Secretary of the Council of Experts under the State
Emergency Commission O.Batbayar said at a press conference of the Ministry of
Health today, “22 percent of the total population or 37 percent of the target
population have been vaccinated. As a result, the number of cases has decreased
by about 70 percent.”
Compared to its peak period, the number of patients being treated at home has dropped from 66 thousand to 10 thousand, patients receiving hospital treatments from 22.5 thousand to 5 thousand while patients in very critical conditions decreased from 400 to 111. In addition, the number of COVID-19 related deaths has declined by 4.5 times compared to the weekly average in the height of the pandemic.
