Transport Minister meets Hungarian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transport Development L.Khaltar had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to MongoliaBorbala Anna Obrusanszky on September 20 to discuss air transport matter. 

 

Ambassador Borbala Anna Obrusanszky said direct flights have been launched between Mongolia and Hungary and Hunnu Air company has so far operated two Mongolia-Hungary direct flights. She also informed the Minister that Hunnu Air and Hungary’s Wizz Air are working together to launch a Nur-Sultan-Budapest-Ulaanbaatar route. Specifically, the low cost airline of Wizz Air will provide air transport between Budapest and Nur-Sultan and Hunnu Air between Nur-Sultan and Ulaanbaatar. 

 

Minister L.Khaltar said that the Cabinet approved a resolution on air transport and tourism-related measures this June, which includes increasing flights, meeting the tourism market demand, and other measures to boost air transport and tourism and undertook to sully support the partnership between the two Mongolian and Hungarian airlines.

 

The sides agreed to renew the Air Services Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Hungary with promptitude and give increased focus to jointly establishing a railway museum, deepening cooperation between railway services, and cooperating in equipment supply and maintenance.
